In the prestigious setting of the Théâtre Molière in Poissy (which has been the setting for recordings by the greatest baroque ensembles), Poissy town council and "Demain Virtuoses - Gourdon Fonds "* are joining forces to offer a "Musical Flight":
- Students from Poissy and the surrounding area (through a discovery of classical music by means of piano improvisation proposed by Jean Baptiste Doulcet)
- Conservatoire students (with a top-class masterclass given by renowned pianist François Chaplin)
- Young artists who, following in the footsteps of Alfred Cortot, Edwin Fischer and Thierry de Brunhoff, are embarking on a career inspired by this unique heritage (Ionah Maiatski, Arthur Hinnewinkel, Darren Sheng).
- To the people of the region who - in a venue with unrivalled acoustics - will be able to discover and share with these great musicians the rare moments that only classical music can bring.... (Most of them are pianists, such as David Fray and Clément Lefèvre, but there are also cellists such as Gauthier Hermann and Aurelien Pascal, violinists such as Mathilde Borsarello and Guillaume Latour, clarinetists such as Raphaël Sévère and viola player Loan Cazal).
This Envol festival is held under the exceptional patronage of David Fray, who for the past twenty years has been the embodiment of the talented young people that Elan Musical is keen to support....
This festival will be free for schoolchildren and students, the master-class will be free, and prices are deliberately set at a modest level.
